I was... VERY surprised by this establishment. I'd come to this town for a funeral, and was in a very dark place in my life when I'd come to this restaurant. I was staying in the hotel for the night, and my family didn't want fast food, so we figured we could come to the restaurant downstairs if it was still open and get something to eat. We'd left town before we got the chance to try breakfast, but the menu doesn't lie, and I'd assume it tastes as good as most of it looks.

Now, the decor lacks quite a lot. It looks like it hasn't redecorated since the early 80's, and it feels like a rather dingy establishment in that right.

The menu does not lie. At all, in fact. There's pictures of somewhat overcooked toast with butter on top, very realistic looking meals, and the portions presented all looked very satisfying. The food looked extremely honest, and not "primped" like A&W and DQ nearby put on their menus. My party and I ordered a... Ooh, I wish I could remember it fully. I believe I'd ordered a bison steak with mushroom sauce, steamed vegetables, and mashed potatoes. It was positively scrumptious, and somehow actually managed to lift my mood a bit. My party had ordered a dynamite roll, and it was as high-quality as the more expensive restaurants in Regina. It was all quite exceptional for what I'd expected.

Skip on the desserts, though. They are very clearly and obviously store-bought, and the ice cream that we got was freezerburnt. Despite this, the meal was very pleasant for an otherwise unpleasant night.
